About ZH Collection
About ZH Collection Handbags
A few years ago, Sanaa identified a need for a lighthearted experience-based brand (think 'Alice in Wonderland' meets ‘Curious George’). Through a passion for experimentation in mixing art and commerce, ZH Collection was created to add beauty, joy, and inspiration to people’s lives with functional products. Today, ZH Collection is onto its second major collection and sells primarily through the online boutique.

Artist Statement

Sanaa Hyder, Designer & Founder
My artwork is a testament to my magical childhood. Having lived in several countries, I was exposed at an early age to an incredible mixture of things: art galleries, stinky cheeses, the summers of Italy, growing cherries in Tehran, making daisy-chains in my front yard in a London suburb, going for jeep rides in the desert dunes - and making igloos when the snow exceeded 2 feet.
The art I make for ZH Collection is a reflection of the youth I delight in and which nourishes and reminds the grown-up me to be curious and excited about each day and to never actually 'grow up'. My goal is to share a slice of magic with you - something from a more innocent time. I want to remind you that youth is an attitude and that its the little things that make it all worthwhile.
“ I hope that our prints make you smile. That's the entire mission of ZH Collection. ”
On my way to adulthood, my travels also exposed me to a lot of poverty and pain. As such, I cannot work without considering the effect I can have (however small) on causes that are meaningful to me. They say happiness is belonging to a bigger cause. Be assured that the art we bring you is informed by these deep-seated values. I hope that our prints make you smile. That's the entire mission of ZH Collection."

Previous Work
ZH Collection Apparel, conceived in 2007, was the precursor to the current ZH Collection handbag line and was created as a fun, weekend dress and separates line for young, professional women. The fabric was designed with prints by Sanaa and the collection sold in specialty boutiques in NY; NJ; Newport, RI; Provo, Utah; Boston, MA and Connecticut.

Zehra Hyder (www.zehrahyder.com), conceived in 2006, was a high end line of designer women’s clothing meant for a sophisticated, global, professional. The fabric for this line was sourced from places such as Loro Piana in order to cut our designs from the best silks, cashmeres and cottons. Zehra Hyder was made in New York and sold to private clients and to the high end boutiques Tess & Carlos in Newbury Street, Boston and Hazel & Grace in Wellesley, MA.
